Set among the gentle slopes of the Carnic Alps and the majestic rocky cliffs of the Sesto Dolomites, and at the heart of the nature park of the same name, is the idyllic mountain town of Sesto. From the hamlet of Moso at the foot of the Cima Dodici and the famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Three Peaks of Lavaredo) runs Val Fiscalina which, in the words of the climber and film-maker Luis Trenker, is “the most beautiful valley in the world”. In this unique landscape are some special protection areas covered by “Natura 2000”. It was to the great satisfaction of ourselves and of our guests that, in 2008, the Sesto Dolomites were declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. In this area of unparalleled beauty, back in the late 19th century, skilled alpine guides first led keen foreign hikers to the boldest of peaks, securing the success of tourism in this place of mountain farmers. During the 20th century, and after the Second World War in particular, Sesto became a tourist attraction for people from all around the world, in the summer as well as in winter. And for good reason: natural beauty abounds wherever you look, the flora and fauna are quite unique, and there are countless opportunities for hiking, skiing and mountain-climbing. Furthermore, there are cultural events and attractions aplenty that are sure to make your stay full, varied and exciting.

We can consider ourselves to be truly fortunate to live here where - as many have said - the Dolomites are at their most beautiful, with the legendary natural monument of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Three Peaks of Lavaredo) standing proud, and the stunning “natural meridian” of Sesto with the sun falling on peaks Ten, Eleven and Twelve ... It is a virtually pristine natural landscape straight on our doorstep. Essentially: we live in a place where everyone wishes to spend their holidays!
